What's New at Jellyneo: October 2025

We're continuing our monthly tradition: an update on all things new and refreshed last month at Jellyneo!

Here's a rundown of what's new here from the past month.

Lab Ray Logger Enhancements
The Chrome version of our Lab Ray Logger browser extension had been delisted from the Chrome Web Store due to some breaking changes to Google's extension ecosystem. Following a code overhaul by our volunteer Madge, it's back, and with some improvements!

You can now choose one of your Neopets to set as the default. This will bump it up to the top of the "Your Neopets" listing and the manual entry form, and make it the default on the History page.

You can now mark pets as "Retired," which will stash them away into a new "Retired" tab.

You can also now filter your zap history by type.

Pet Slots Article
We have a brand new article on all things pet slots: their mechanics, how many there are, and how to get more.

Pet Lookup Colours
Have you noticed that some Neopet colour names have special font styling on pet lookups? We now have a table of exactly which hex code is used for each colour!

That "Purple" is #714482!

A special thanks to Blumalou for helping us to compile all these!

Neoboard Stickers Guide
We have a full guide and listing of one of TNT's newest innovations: Neoboard Stickers!

It's Boba Time Recap
Last May, Neopets ran a promotion with west coast chain It's Boba Time. Check out our recap for the details on the unique merch and prize codes, plus a special launch party!

Creative Contest Prize Pool Update
In September, TNT moved over the prize pools for the various creative contests to an exciting set of new and re-released items! We have begun collating reports onto our Creative Contest Prizes listing.

Did you recently win the Art Gallery, Neopian Times, Poetry Gallery, or Storytelling Contest? Let us know what you won either by submitting a contact form or replying on one of our Neoboards. (You might also get a Neomail from noileh, our honcho on this initiative!)

Item Tag Contact Form
For our birthday in August, we launched a huge update to our Item Database: item tags! Tags are a new way for us to label, categorize, and group items together for you to find them. At the time of writing, we have 2,165 unique tags applied 80,615 times to 42,773 items!

Since we've gotten through the bulk of our initial tagging work, last month we introduced a Tag Suggestions form. If you notice an item is missing a tag or has an incorrect tag, look for the "Suggest Edits" button right below the tag list!

New Special Categories
We've also continued expanding our list of special categories—here are the latest additions:

We've also expanded our pre-existing Item Errors category to include description errors in addition to item name errors.

Faerie Festival

September saw the return of the Faerie Festival! The festivities will last through October 13th, so make sure you check back every day.

Daily Faerie Quests and a Charity Corner-like donation event have returned.

New this year: Varia is at the Festival Hub handing out daily prizes to promote Faerie Fragments.

Finally, Free the Faeries has returned as a NC component for the Festival.

Tales of Dacardia Donation Dome
Tales of Dacardia featured another Donation Dome and login calendar last month. This iteration's inexplicable assailant of a storm-battered island was the Primary Grundo Bot RZ894. We have a guide up covering the mechanics and prizes:

Captain QuickFinger also rotated the stock in his Travelling Treasure Trove, and we have a value guide for that too:

Faerie Fragments
We have an event guide for the current seasonal event, Study in Style. This event continues with the same general format of the last event, including a Neopets.com item prize shop, which we've added a prize shop value guide for. The last full day of the event is tomorrow!

We've also enhanced our story guide with video embeds of the handful of cutscenes the game offers. You can even view them all at once in a YouTube playlist! Relive the Gift of Calabrus in action or watch the cult classic indie film Artichoke Hearts: A Love Story.

The Void Within Coverage

The Void Within concluded Act III last month, and we've covered it breathlessly!

We have a game guide for the newest plot game: Attack on Altador. This game remains available during the plot pause, if you have a device that can run it!

We also have a new guide on the Chapter Meter Energy Booster.

Our Barracks and Hospital guides were updated with the new challengers and prizes from "Altador Assault I" and "Fend off Vira" battles:

Our In-Depth Battlepedia has information on the two new challengers introduced.

And our Story, Achievements, and Trophies guides were updated with the new additions to each:

According to the official FAQ, the plot will return in early 2026, so look forward to a lot more coverage next year!

Costume Contest
Entries for our annual Costume Contest opened in September. If you haven't entered already, our Costume Contest is still accepting entries through Tuesday, October 7th at 11:59PM NST!

Special Request: ACMI Game Worlds in Melbourne, Australia
Neopets is among the games currently being featured as part of the ACMI Game Worlds exhibit in Melbourne, VIC, Australia. The exhibit will be open through February 8, 2026. If you attend, we'd like to hear from you! Please send us a note with a link to pictures and/or some commentary on the exhibit; we'll be happy to credit you to a name of your choosing in our recap of the exhibit.

New Goal Counters
Our ace graphics department has added several new Goal Counters.

I still can't believe it took me until 2 weeks ago at a convention to finally get the full set of Boba Time stickers. All the stores near me were sold out a couple of days after the event started! >.<

You guys are so busy and so cool

Regarding tags, I'd loooove it if we could look at TCG 'sub-series', rather than getting taken to the Neopets page for the series where you can't see all the cards that belong in that sub-series (e.g. The Darkest Faerie). There may already be a way to do this?? If so, I haven't found it yet. But my idea is tags for each of the TCG sub-series.

@usurpagreen If I am understanding you correctly, I think we do already have that. If you click "+ More Search Options" on our Item DB search and scroll down to "Collections" you will see a TCG Set dropdown. Is that what you mean by subseries?
