On August 22nd, 21 years ago, Jellyneo was born! And we've been very happy to be bringing you the latest Neopets news and help ever since. You can stop by Jellyneo any time to peruse a complete Item Database (now with almost 70,300 item entries); visit the only destination on the 'net for Neopian history and lore; find a place to preview wearables; reference the premier guide to the Battledome; search a unique, categorized listing of over 154,000 Neopets images; peruse a full list of Neopets merch released since 1999; not to mention read a massive repository of guides and articles for any Neopets feature you can probably think of. And all of it is done to help you, our fellow Neopians.
To celebrate our 21st birthday, we're celebrating with a BIG update today! 🥂

Item Tags
What's been one of the most requested feature additions to our Item Database over the years? Well, many of you have asked, so we're finally doing it... Item Tags!
Tags will be a new way for us to label, categorize, and group items together for you to find them. Are you working on building a gallery in honor of Dr. Sloth? Well then looking up all items tagged #Dr Sloth might come in handy! You'll find all the items we've tagged related to our favourite evil genius.
Or, you might have a gallery sharing your love of slimy Slorgs, in which case a #Slorg search is what you're looking for. Did you know Barf Boat Stamp has a Slorg on it? Now you do! (And FYI, there is a crossover Sloth-Slorg item too!)
We are starting out with the following types of tags:
- Neopets
- Petpets
- Paint Brushes
- Petpetpets
- Faeries
- Characters
- Lands
You'll be able to find what an item is currently tagged with in the new Tags section, right under Categories:
Tags are also searchable in our sidebar, with both "Is Tagged With" and "Not Tagged With" options!

As you might imagine, this is a huge project. We are far from done tagging, and our Item Database crew is working furiously to tag more items each day. We also plan to expand to more types of tags in the coming months. Here's what you can look forward to:
- Games
- Neopian Items (think Nerkmids, codestones, etc.)
- Themes (think gallery themes, like winter or beach)
- Item Image Colours
- Wearable Themes
- ... and probably more!
New Site Theme
We have a new site theme here at Jellyneo to celebrate, too! Check out The Void Within theme, in honor of the current plot!
You can set your theme in the footer of any page on JN—your choice will be saved to your current device.
Birthday Trivia
We're going to keep the celebration going for a full 8 more days! Starting on Sunday, August 24th, come back to Jellyneo daily to participate in... Birthday Trivia!
All you need to participate is a jnAccount and a visit to JN each day from the 24th through the 31st. Everyone who answers at least one question correct will get a shiny new trophy for their cabinet.
And, because it's our birthday, NINE lucky random participants who answer all 8 trivia questions correctly will receive a Rare Item Code that TNT gave away at this past San Diego Comic-Con! Some generous con goers have provided JN with extra codes to give away. (You might receive a Convention Connoisseur Shoyru Plushie or a 25th Anniversary Doglefox Stamp!)
