Upcoming April CEO AMA

TNT have announced the date for the next AMA with Dom, the Neopets CEO. This will be held at 5pm NST on the 24th of April. It's expected to be watchable live on Facebook, Youtube, or Twitter. (We recommend YouTube, as it's easiest.)

This AMA has been dubbed the "Upper Deck Edition," so will presumably contain details about the upcoming Upper Deck Battledome Trading Card Game. Kevin from KevinoGaming will return as the host.

As with the last AMA, there will be a Rare Item Code made available during the livestream for an unknown prize, which we'll post about here on JN once the code is released.

In addition, a Straw Poll has been set up by TNT to solicit questions for Dom.

Paused Neopets Trading Card Series Relaunches Tomorrow

The Neopets Weekly Series of trading cards, originally released in January of last year on Upper Deck e-Pack that was paused after the first week of sales to address some concerns from the community, is relaunching tomorrow.

The cards have all been redesigned and reprinted, fixing many of the issues from the original launch.

2024 Update

Each week for nine weeks, 499 packs of digital trading cards will be released for $5.99 a pack. Packs will be available for one week or until they sell out. (Week one sold out in just 12 minutes!) Each pack contains three base cards (the three species for the specific week—27 to collect) plus one baby variant (of the possible three per week—27 to collect).

Select packs will also contain Faerie variants (1 in 6 packs—27 to collect) or Grundo Warehouse code cards (1 in 12.2 packs) that award one of three exclusive virtual items. You also have a chance at receiving a limited-to-one printing plate card.

These virtual cards can be traded within e-Pack to other users just like real cards, and then when you are happy with what you have, you can redeem them for physical versions for a small fee: a flat shipping charge starting at $5.00 USD with pricier options if you want expedited shipping, plus $1.00 for the first card and $0.25 for each additional card.

There are also two sets of achievement cards. One random Darigan variant (9 to collect) is earned for each complete set of 27 base series cards that you redeem (so if you want the full set of nine you need 9 full sets of base cards). One random Mutant variant (9 to collect) is earned for each complete set of 27 Baby series cards that you redeem (so if you want the full set of nine you need 9 full sets of Baby cards).

As previously stated by Upper Deck, all cards in a set must be redeemed at the same time in order to earn the achievement card. As of now there has been no communication on whether or not Week 1 is being reissued (updated printings exist, so it's likely), so it is advised that you wait to redeem your cards until after the full series has been released.

Upcoming March CEO AMA

TNT have announced the date for the next AMA with Dom, the Neopets CEO. This will be held at 5pm NST on the 27th of March. It's expected to be watchable live on Facebook, Youtube, or Twitter. (We recommend YouTube, as it's easiest.)

This AMA has been dubbed the "Void Within Edition," so will presumably contain details about the upcoming plot and the sudden grey-ifying of Neopets shopkeepers.

The host this time around has been swapped from Kevinogaming, who has hosted the last few, to Amanda of The Amanda Files.

As with the last AMA, there will be a Rare Item Code made available during the livestream for an "EXCLUSIVE unreleased prize," which we'll post about here on JN once the code is released.

In addition, a Straw Poll has been set up by TNT to solicit questions for Dom.

Neopets @ Planet Comicon Kansas City 2024 Recap

Jellyneo had the opportunity to attend Planet Comicon Kansas City 2024 last weekend, where Neopets held court as an exhibitor, panelist, and sponsor of the event. With exclusive merch, a panel discussion, an afterparty, an exclusive prize code, and more, there was a lot going on!

Read all about it (with pictures too!) in our recap:

The recap also includes links to our recaps of previous conventions, and you can look forward to our recap of TNT's next announced appearance at SDCC 2024 this coming July!

BONUS! Jellyneo received 4 extra exclusive Planet Comicon prize codes, which we plan to giveaway! Keep your eyes peeled on the Jellyneo homepage for announcement of a new Spring Trivia event for your chance to win one of them ๐Ÿ‘€

NeopetsShop.com Closing Temporarily

As announced previously, the Neopets Merch Shop (located at www.neopetsshop.com) will be closing down on March 20th, five days from now.

TNT is ending their partnership with the existing merch shop operator in favor of one that should hopefully have better global shipping costs. Currently, all we know is that they are "aiming for end of March" for the new partner to go online, but no official re-opening date has been announced yet.

If you're dying for any of the existing merch, we'd recommend considering a purchase, as it's unknown which merch (if any) will carry over to the new partner's shop. Note, however, that any purchases cannot be returned.
